About the company
DelBoy jr Productions is a proudly working-class film and TV company creating sketches, sitcoms, and feature films that reflect real British working-class life – made for the British working-class by the British working-class. So we’re after authentic working-class people with all the grit, cheeky charm, and dodgy kebabs chucked in too.
We’re not just giving people a bubble – we’re kicking through the class ceiling with a pair of nicked Reebok Classics. We believe talent exists everywhere, not just in Oxbridge drama schools. So if you’ve ever been watching the TV and thought “I could act in that, or do crew work on that… but I haven’t got a pot to piss in because I’m working class and poor, so I just can’t get into the industry” — you’re exactly who we’re looking for. 🫵
What we’re looking for exactly:
We’re putting together a team of actors and crew members for upcoming projects, and we want people who come from the world we’re trying to represent. That means working-class gits from all corners of the UK – be it East London, Essex, Manchester, Brum, Glasgow, or anywhere in between—even Scousers. Just as long as you’re working-class or at least working-class…ish.
But let’s be straight up– you don’t have to prove your class status. If you like the work and support the cause, you’re welcome. We just ask that you get what we’re about: real lower-class stories, real lower-class people, real high laughs.
We’ve got characters ranging from dodgy drug dealers to bolloxed builders, to birds who work down the local cafe. We love satire, surrealism, and the silly stuff too – and all the comedy is a bit edgy and controversial—basically, it’s got balls! Just the way it should be.
About the cause
This isn’t just for shits and giggles (though there’ll be plenty of that). It’s part of a bigger mission to raise money for charity – and that charity is… The DelBoy jr Ponce Pot Department – which raises funds to help underprivileged working-class talent access film school and break into the industry. So you’re not just joining some wanky project, you’re supporting a proper worthwhile charitable campaign ‘n’ all.
Payment
Some projects are paid, some are voluntary, especially when it’s early development or charity-led. But we’ll always cover expenses, treat people fairly, and feed you like royalty (or at least get you some grub down the local greasy spoon cafe). What we want at this early stage are people from working-class backgrounds who want to be actors or crewmembers, but don’t have the opportunities to be able to act in anything or do crew work on any productions because of the limitations of their backgrounds. So even if you work on a project for free, as an actor you will be getting material that you can use for your show reel. And if you are a crew member again, you will be getting experience and the footage you can also use for your show reel to be able to get more work and lead to bigger things.

Let’s prove the working-class don’t just belong working on building sites or down the local Job Centre poncing off the dole – let’s show ‘em we’ve got stories to tell and laughs to deliver. And that we can also write, produce, act in, edit, and distribute all of our own material that can stand side-by-side with all the other posh shite out there at the moment.
