BBC Writersroom is the avenue for writers to submit comedy scripts directly to the BBC. It is open to anyone in the UK to submit, regardless of experience, and they guarantee to read the first 10 pages of your script.  The Writersroom isn’t necessarily about finding new work to commission, though that does happen, but identifying talent to develop, so winners will be given opportunities to help kick-start their careers.

BBC Writersroom receives thousands of scripts each year and 90% of scripts will be sifted at the initial stage.  So take heed of the advice articles below and give yourself the best chance of success.

The Writersroom window 2020 is open from 23rd March until 10th April (5pm).
