Comedy Artist Makers’ Program
The Comedy Artist Makers’ Program (CAMP) is a nine month residency program which supports comedy-based writers and performers in creating a new show. CAMP 2022/23 is now open for submissions!
The program is offered by NYC based theatre Ars Nova, which exists to launch dynamic new creators and support innovative new work. Writers and performers will benefit from weekly work sharing and feedback sessions. It’s a highly collaborative environment, so you’ll be creating your new show alongside your peers, and developing as a community of creators. The program culminates in a full length live performance at Ars Nova’s theatre during Spring 2023.
CAMP exists to empower new creators in developing brilliant brand new comedy, to give creators the space to take creative risks, and to build a diverse and dynamic community of comedy artists.
CAMP is for:
- Performer/writers, writer/performers, performers breaking into writing OR writers breaking into performing
- Creators who want to devise a new full-length, comedic show
- Innovative, fresh-thinking comedians
You’ll need to be able to attend in person, weekly meetings in NYC beginning October 2022, and you’ll also need to be fully vaccinated & boosted to take part. For the full details, and to apply, head on over to Ars Nova’s website.
Get your applications in by 11:59PM ET on Sunday 28th August 2022.
