Look Sharp Theatre Comedy Submissions

Look Sharp Theatre is a Leeds-based company with a focus on new comedy, and they’re currently looking for new comedy writing for their 2023 season.

It’s an opportunity to develop and see your script produced in Leeds at this non-profit company, who are particularly on the lookout for farcical comedy. They’re also very interested to hear from writers from Leeds and the Yorkshire region, though they’re happy to read submissions from across the UK!

Please note that this is an unpaid opportunity as the company is non-profit.

You’ll need to make sure that your script is a completed draft of at least 60 pages with no more than 8 characters (a mix of genders), and suitable for a performance in a studio space with a 50-100 seat capacity. It’s preferable for your play to have a simple set.
