Comedy Crowder Holly Hall is running 2 sketch nights for writers or comedians who are looking to test out new material in front of a friendly audience. The events are now open for submissions!

‘Stop Trying to Make Sketch Happen’ is a night of live comedy sketches held at Hoopla Impro The Miller Pub, London Bridge. The organisers are predominantly looking for comedy sketch submissions, but are also open to stand up, musical and character comedy as well.

The maximum length for sketches is three minutes per sketch, and the maximum number of sketches is two per night per writer/performer. There are no set themes or set number of performers.

The dates for the upcoming events are: 18th October & 20th December.

If you would like to take part in the event, then you’ll just need to get in touch with the team at: sketchhappen@hotmail.com with the following information:

  • Your name
  • Act name (if applicable)
  • Number of sketches you have ready to be performed (two maximum)
  • A copy of the sketches you’d like to perform (PDF or word document preferred)
  • Type of comedy (if not performing sketch comedy)
  • Name of the writer/s and name/s of the actors
  • Which night/s you would like to perform (18th October or 20th December)
