BBC Writersroom @ The Edinburgh Festival Fringe

Each year, BBC Writersroom head to The Edinburgh Festival Fringe and scout for top talent! Here, you can invite them to watch your Comedy/Drama or Drama show.

This year, BBC Writersroom will be at The Edinburgh Festival Fringe from Sunday 20th – Friday 25th August 2023. They’ll be on the lookout for emerging and vibrant writing talent, so will be attending plenty of performances during the week.

They welcome invitations to performances, provided that these are Comedy/Drama or Drama. This mean that they won’t be looking for purely comedic/stand-up shows, but if you do have a Comedy/Drama performance from 20th – 25th August, why not drop them a message!

The following terms apply:

• Your characters and writing will need to be new & original (ie no adaptations please)
• You must be a permanent resident of the UK or Republic of Ireland
• Your show must be Comedy/Drama or Drama

To invite BBC Writersroom to your performance, head on over to their website. You’ll need to fill out a quick online form with some details about the writer and show.

Please note that BBC Writersroom cannot guarantee that they will be able to reply to every single invitation!
