Female Pilot Club TV Comedy Pilot Submissions

Female Pilot Club has partnered with UKTV, and they’re on the lookout for new comedy scripts! This script callout is for comedy by women which features leading parts for women over the age of 45.

Four scripts will be chosen to be developed by UKTV and Female Pilot Club. These winning scripts will get a live reading by top Female Pilot Club comedy talent in front of an industry audience in London.

For this submission callout, Female Pilot Club are looking for your best upbeat comedies. They want authenticity, relatability and warmth which ties in to the modern UK, so if you’ve got a comedy pilot in mind which fits the bill, then read on to find out more on submitting it!

Scripts submitted must fall within the following rules:

  • TV pilot scripts of no more than 35 pages

  • Written by writers who identify as women, are aged 18+ and are a UK resident.

  • Leading character(s) must be women over the age of 45

  • Scripts must be based on original ideas that belong to nobody but you

To apply, you’ll need to write your script in screenplay format, and add a title page with your full name, contact details, series title and episode title. You’ll need to send it as a PDF, named as follows: LAST NAME_FIRST NAME_SERIES TITLE. Send your script as an email attachment with the subject line FPC/UKTV SCRIPT CALLOUT, to femalepilotclub@gmail.com, and in the body of the email you’ll need to include a one paragraph pitch for your series that includes the name(s) of your 45+ year old female main character(s).
