The Actors Cove – Writers & Directors Callout

The Actors Cove is looking for writers and directors for their regular Professional Practice sessions, scratch nights and Cove Comedy events!

Acting and improv school The Actors Cove is a hub of training, opportunities and career coaching for actors and improvisors of all levels. Alongside their paid courses, they are currently running the following opportunities for writers and directors:

Writers

If you have a script, sketch or short piece which you want to workshop, you can submit your piece to be workshopped in The Actors Cove’s Professional Practice sessions. You’ll be able to see actors play, rehearse and share your work, plus you’ll receive feedback on your piece.

You can also send in material for one of The Actors Cove’s scratch nights, Showcases and comedy events (see below)!

Directors

The Actors Cove run regular Professional Practice sessions. You can apply to come along, play, explore and direct a group of professional actors at one of these, working alongside other directors and with a variety of actors.

Comedy

The Actors Cove have their very own ‘Cove Comedy’ events; comedy nights to which you can submit a comedy sketch in script or idea form.
